Growth Mindset

I have personally not heard of Carol Dweck and the growth mindset before this class. I feel as though in the educational system that our generation was brought up in, we were taught to have a fixed mindset; that there was only one right answer. You either passed or you failed. For this reason, I feel as though when it comes to school work, I tend to have a more fixed mindset. However, in my hobbies I feel as though I tend to have a growth mindset because those activities are things that I am passionate about and want to continue to grow and master. When it comes to my hobbies, dancing will always be my number one. However, I love to try new things such as music, tennis, and even cooking. I am always looking for ways I can improve my cooking skills.

This topic of the growth mindset is one that interests me and I look forward to not only learning more about it, but also utilizing it this semester.
